General condition

We are missing the air plenum for the carbs and will need to be on the lookout for a replacement if it can't be found.  I will have to pull the carbs off and rebuild them, I'm just hoping that they won't have the same sort of stuff that the fuel tank had in it.
Triple SU's with numbers etched in the bells, will be digging into these very soon and expect a lot of 'tar'.

Sump with thick tar
Speaking of the fuel tank, this is the nasty stuff that happens when modern fuel sits in it for years. I have pulled the tank, which is a major operation leading one to conclude that Jaguar must have built the car around the tank.  The inner front tank support has to be removed and it is accessible only from underneath and hard to get at between the body and suspension.
Like many of these cars someone along the way has used the radiator support as a jacking point, on my '68 the bonnet was spring loaded from the radiator having been pushed up into it.  This one isn't that bad and can be straightened.

Example of the condition of the steering and the rubber components , will all need to be removed, cleaned and sorted.
